Some rivers and streams are closed from 2pm-midnight due to drought conditions such as the Bitterroot River, Clark Fork River, Copper creek, Dearborn River, North Fork of the Blackfoot river, Landers fork, Smith River, Sun River, and the Madison River. The Jefferson River and the Big Hole river are closed to fishing completely. Some good flies to use right now are Para Caddis, Elk Hair Caddis, and hoppers.

Missouri River:

Fishing has slowed due to warmer water temperatures but Hoppers are coming in to season and should produce some action. Find the holes.

Canyon Ferry:

Trolling 35ft deep is producing trout using Rapalas and spinners around Cemetery Island. Walleye are hard to find but at Hellgate floating jigs and jigging is picking up. Walleye are also productive down through the Silos…try trolling to find a few and then drop an anchor and start jigging with chartreuse jig heads and a worm.

Hauser Lake:

Across from Black Sandy and White Sandy the walleye bite is slowly picking up. Jigs and trolling spinners with worms seems to be working.
