Bill Brown at Bob Wards says hunting season is starting to pick up for most and fishing-wise the Blackfoot is open early mornings or late afternoon’s are best.
Bill from Rock Creek Marina says the area fishing’s been really good.
Dale from Don’s in Lewistown says there’s some good action on Spring Creek with PMD’s for rainbows.
John Harris from Lakeside Resort says the water temp on Noxon Rapids Reservoir is shaping up for a good weekend, and area elk hunting is looking good.
Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says Holter is still a bit slow on walleye, but are getting some nice perch.
Mary Beth Kibler of Kibler Outfitting says hunting season is going strong to book a hunt on private land call 406-557-2503.
Robert from Malta Marine says fishing on Nelson really picked up with the cooler nights.
Ron Aashiem of Montana FWP says archery season is in full swing, and there has been an increase not only in archery hunting but also in their successes. For more information go to fwp.mt.gov.
Ryan from Bob Wards in Bozeman says the Region 3 Trappers Workshop is Wednesday. Streamers and Nymph fishing is best on the Lower Madison and in Butte backcountry fishing doing great. In Helena Ryan says most rivers and streams day closures have been lifted and to check fwp.mt.gov for the specifics.
Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says with the cooler weather, area hunting and fishing is doing well.
Tammy from Northwest Sports in Eureka says kokannee snagging is over for now, and area elk hunters have seen success this past week.
