With wolf trapping season just around the corner, it is time to get certified! If you haven’t taken the FREE FWP wolf trapping certification class already in Montana or Idaho, and you are interested in trapping wolves this season, then you can sign up for the class that will be held in Missoula tomorrow (Saturday 9/14) at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. There will be four more classes after tomorrow in various locations in western Montana, with one more scheduled in Missoula on October 6th. (Click HERE for the full course schedule.)
Even if you took the course last year, it might be worth it to check out for a little while this year, as the wolf hunting regulations have changed, to include tag limits and season dates.
To register for tomorrow’s, or any other, FWP wolf trapping course, click HERE. You can also just show up if you are looking for a refresher. Remember that this course is mandatory for all Montana wolf trappers, so if you haven’t taken it, you must sign up for it before trapping wolves this season. If you took the course in Idaho, then you do not need to take the Montana course. And, remember, it is free.
