MORS Weekly Wrap Up

Days are getting colder around Montana this week, which has hunters excited. Open rifle hunting season opens this week, and everyone owning orange has headed for the hills. Fall colors are in full force and leaves are changing color and dropping by the minute. I took a neat flight over the Bitterroot Mountains and snapped this photo of West Fork Butte Fire Lookout with tamarack trees in the background. Booher_Alyson_Autumn_01

If you are out in the field you can listen to our show through radio pup, download the app here. There is a small chance you may have missed the show this Saturday, but don’t fret; we have provided links to all the best stories from this week around Montana here:

October 26th Summaries Bill Brown at Bob Wards says be prepared for the weather and watch out for grizzlies when you’re out, and for our fishermen the flies are still out on the Bitterroot River and hoppers are doing well also. Chancy at Snappy’s says he’ll be fishing for area Lake Superior Whitefish.  Kookanusa has had some good reports for rainbows mostly running plugs and Lyman Plugs Dale from Don’s in Lewistown says Spring Creek fishing should be great through the week end. Robert from Malta Marine says fishing on Nelson is getting steady again for those jigging. Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says if your not hunting, the Beaverhead & Big Hole Rivers are fishing really good using chubby chernobyland basin hoppers.

Congratulations to this weeks trivia winners Paul Roush from Stevensville, and Brian McCollom of Choteau. Keep listening for your chance to win just like Tom Zimmerman, he was the winner of a Montana Club gift card this week!
