UPDATE:  FWP SAYS THE “WOLF” SHOT WAS NOT A WOLF…CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY

“This wolf had absolutely no fear, and he was less than 100 feet the horses,” said Bill Scullion, of Lolo, about a wolf that decided to visit his yard on the morning of Sunday, October 20th.  Bill said that he woke up that morning and was drinking coffee in his chair at daylight and a wolf was looking back at him no more than 10 feet from his front window, but he had his eye on the horses.

Bill describes the wolf as the prettiest gray wolf he has ever seen.  To protect his horses, as the wolf made its way to them, Bill ended up shooting the wolf and called FWP.  They came and picked up the wolf, as he didn’t have a tag.

Wolves seem to be getting more and more comfortable these days, so make sure you are always aware of your surroundings.  We are glad you prevented anything from happening your horses, Bill!
