Ice, Ice, Baby…Literally

With all the snow and ice out there in the mountains and in some of the valleys, we hope that you are careful–maybe a little more careful than this little girl was during her first time on ice. The best way to avoid slipping on the ice is to avoid the ice…but, if you insist on being out where it is icy, then maybe try putting slip on cleats over your boots or shoes.

Be careful on those mountain roads, as there is a lot of ice underneath the recent snowfall.  I suggest that you bring your tire chains when you head out driving anywhere in the mountains.

The West Yellowstone Ice Fishing Tournament Facebook page reported the following on this past Saturday:

Ice forming on the Grayling arm of Hebgen Lake this morning covered with the snow from storms moving through today. You can barely see the mountains on the other side of the lake.

If you are interested in entering the West Yellowstone Ice Fishing Tournament, scheduled for January 17-19, 2014, visit www.WestYellowstoneIceFishing.com for more information.

Good luck out there to all sportsmen and women out there after something, and be careful on that ice!
