Mountain Lion Mountain Lion Hunting To Close In Hunting Districts In Regions 2 & 5

The hunting of mountain lions in several Montana hunting districts in Region’s 2 and 5 will close at one-half hour after sunset on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013:

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

• HD’s 280, 281, 284, 293 & 298 East of State Route 141 – which includes portions of Powell, Lewis & Clark, & Granite counties.

Closed to hunting of all mountain lions:

• HD 520 – which includes portions of Carbon, Stillwater & Sweet Grass counties.

These hunting districts will re-open hunting of all mountain lion for the winter season beginning December 1, 2013.

The closure notice for the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota or sub-quota for the districts had been met.
