Hear the latest hunting and fishing news for the Kalispell, Great Falls and Dillon areas.

Chancy from Snappy’s
Chancy at Snappy’s says he’s looking forward to the colder weather. Flathead River is still doing well on whitefish. Chancy was down there last week and had a couple good days, 15-20 fish in just a couple of hours, getting some nice cut throats, macks, bulls, and rainbows. Flathead Lake is still fishing really well for those jigging in 30-60ft of water around the points, islands, and rocky shorelines. Rainbow fishing on Lake Kookanusa has been pretty decent. Been a little slow but folks been trolling lyman plugs and flies picking up a few nice rainbows and bulls. Foys Lake just west of Kalispell, been getting reports on rainbows 12-18 inches for those casting small spoons, and bait fishing like worms marshmallow and power bait. Chancy reminds us next Saturday November 23rd Snappy’s will be having an ice fishing expo in the parking lot.

Shelby shares a story about a seven by seven that was unique in its appearance. With the expected bitter cold coming in this week, Shelby says there should be more successful reports coming in. Shelby says the most successful hunting are getting out of the truck and trekking through the high country.
