Here are fishing summaries for the week:

Northwest and Northcentral MT Fishing Report

Chancy from Snappy’s
Chancy at Snappy’s says Beaver Lake is doing well on kokanee, and Murray Lake is doing well on rainbows.  Be careful on Murray you may need to snowcat in there, but the fishing has been excellent. Van Lake down the Swan is doing well on rainbows.  Echo Lake’s producing  kokanee , whitefish, and a few perch. Smith Lake’s doing well with a lot of small nice pike and some good sized perch.  Lion Lake by Hungry Horse has had reports on smaller rainbows and big perch.  Lake Five doing well for good folks limiting out on smaller kokannee.  Hubbard Reservoir is reports of limiting out on rainbows.

Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says Holter is not safe.  Francis has 12 -16 inches, Baileys has 12-14 inches plus, Fresno 10-17 inches plus, Tiber has 12-17 inches, Bynum has 12 inches, Piscan has 10 plus inches, Nylan and Willow Creek have some open water around the edges but it has 10 inches out there, Newland Reservoir has 12 inches, Ackley has 8 inches, and Arod has 12 inches. Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon

Shelby says the ice on Clark Canyon is thick holding at about 10 inches, ling fishing is really picking up, and the fishing is really good. The Clark Canyon Fishing Derby is set for the end of January and The Dog Days of Winter 2nd Annual Coyote Derby comes up January 10, -12th.  If you’re in the Dillon area, stop into Rocky Mountain Supply for more information or call 406-683-2308.
