Montana is not the only place that is having its share of sub-zero temperatures, as the skunk in the picture below was photographed in Bismarck, North Dakota, where the temperatures have been comparable to Montana’s.
It was reported by Brad Panovich on WCNC that a skunk froze to death standing up while trying to cross the road, but some disagree, as there are no tracks around the skunk to show that it walked to that particular spot. Some speculate that it was roadkill, and a plow truck pushed it up, while others are convinced it is true and worry that they might find their pet dogs and cats in a similar position.
What do you think? Do you believe the skunk was crossing the road and froze to death, or do you think it is just a prop that emphasizes the severity of the cold temperatures in North Dakota?
