Full story here:

MISSOULA – The search is continuing for a hunter who was reported missing late Sunday in the Wallace Creek area near Clinton.

Authorities say that a 27-year-old Missoula man had gone hunting with three other men, but when they were supposed to meet up – he couldn’t be found.

Search and rescue crews have been looking for the man on ATVs, and had requested a helicopter from Malmstrom Air Force base – but weather has prevented any sort of air search from happening.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Paige Pavalone tells MTN news that they are concerned for the hunter’s welfare because he was not dressed for the weather.

Pavalone says the missing man is an avid outdoorsman, in good shape, and is armed – but was not dressed appropriately to spend a night in the wilderness in the cold weather.

Crews from Missoula County Search and Rescue and Seeley Swan Search and Rescue are working to try and find the man, and a command post has been set up at the Clinton Market
