Catching Fish in the Winter with Lures

Kurt Wieringa, of Anaconda, has been hitting the ice pretty hard at Georgetown Lake and was out on New Year’s day and caught eight fish!  While he was out, he noticed some kids with their Dads, and Kurt helped the kids out a bit with ice fishing techniques, also teaching the Dads a thing or two in the process.

“It’s not all about jigs,” Kurt said, “You can catch fish in the winter with lures.”  And that is exactly what he did.  The fish pictured below was caught with a daredevil.

Nice work, Kurt, and thank you for sharing!
