Hunting

Your preferred season may be over but we’re always prepared for the next. Gear up and save in the off season! Please review regulations and specific details for the areas you plan to hunt.

Mountain Lion (w/ Hounds) season continues until April 14th.

Wolf season runs through March 15th.

Fishing

Canyon Ferry Lake did have about 15 inches of ice according to reports, however, weather has up and down so please observe some caution. Outside of the ice conditions, the lake has been fishing well by the silos. Try a smaller Swedish Pimple or some grubs near the silos and you should get bites. Ling fishing at night is pretty solid using tip ups with meat. Again, be aware of ice thickness and ice ridges around the lake.

When headed to the Missouri River, try fishing the stretch between Craig and the dam. Pink skuds or bead headed nymphs like flash prince nymphs or lightening bugs are the ticket right now. You might also try fishing the Rainbow Czech or Hot head Ray Charles- stick with pinks and purples- they have been really working well. Fish the deeper pools and tail-waters and try split-shotting to get your nymphs down deep.
