Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Becoming an Outdoors Woman program is sponsoring two snowshoe classes on February 8th in Thompson Falls. Applicants can choose to attend the morning class from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm or the afternoon class from noon until 4:30 pm.

“If you can walk, you can snowshoe,” said Liz Lodman, FWP’s Becoming an Outdoors Woman coordinator. “This class will provide an opportunity to use snowshoes while exploring the surrounding forest.”

Participants will practice “walking” in snowshoes and learn techniques for traveling up, down and across a hill.

The class fee is $15 with lunch and snowshoes provided. The registration form can be found at the FWP Web site or call Nancy Fields at 406-827-8561 or Liz Lodman at 406-444-9940 for more details.
