There are times when you eat something, and you think, “I really shouldn’t have eaten that”…and, I imagine, that is probably what the snake pictured below was thinking after he ate a monstrous centipede on Golem Grad Island, Macedonia. According to a recent post on iflscience.com, a group of researchers were out looking for snakes and came across this dead viper. There is a brief report on it in the Ecologica Montenegrina journal, if you’re interested in reading it.
Although, there are no vipers in Montana, we do have rattlesnakes, and I imagine, at some point, there have been some Montana rattlesnakes discovered with unusual, undigested meals bulging from their bodies.
