Hunting:

It might be time to think about purchasing a Super Tag from us. This is a Lottery program put on by Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks. You can purchase one for Deer, Elk, Moose, Sheep, Goat, or Bison, antelope and mountain lion. You have until July 3rd to buy a chance to win a hunt of a lifetime.

Spring Turkey Season is closes this weekend, May 18th. If you are still not tagged out.

We would love to see pictures of your trophies. Good Luck!

Spring Black Bear season closes on May 31-June15th depending on the area. Make sure you know what the closing date is for your favored stomping grounds.

Fishing:

Canyon Ferry Lake: The Lake is really low and too low to put in. Water levels are expected to rise soon too. Trout are still being caught from shore on some metallic Cyclone spinners.

Missouri River: Water flows are higher the normal with slightly cooler temperatures. We’d recommend throwing some March Browns, BWOs, and Scuds. The weather is great and so is the fishing—but eventually run-off will be upon us so get out and get some great fishing before the waters get muddy.

Paddlefish: With late May, almost upon us—Paddlefishing is about to be underway at the Intake Diversion Dam near Glendive. If you’re interested in hooking into this large fish, whose Montana record was 142 lbs., swing on in and grab your Paddlefish tag and some gear to land one of these big fish.
