May 31st Summaries
-Bill Brown at Bob Wards says Georgetown Lake is doing well fro those trolling around the edges. In the Hamilton area the Bitterroot River is high and blown out.
-Brett French Outdoor editor of the Billings Gazette says in Eastern Montana the river’s are really coming up and cooking, and luckily the reservoirs and dams are still fishing well producing croppie, kokannee and trout in areas.
-Brett Hammerneck Walleye fishing Guru says Rock Creek Marina walleye fishing was challenging.
-Bob Park Manager for Tongue River State Park and Rosebud Battlefield says they are receiving a huge influx of water right now and the croppie bite has slowed down, but they can be found in the shallows.
-Charlie from Don’s in Lewistown says Spring Creek is running a little high but it’s not really off color. It’s still fishing well with spinners and dry & wet flies. Ackley Lake is also doing well.
-Chancy at Snappy’s says the fishing is still going well, and there’s still some kokannee action out of Middle Thompson.
-Dallas at Highline Cleaners in Chester says things are good out at Tiber Dam.
-John Harris from Lakeside Resort in Trout Creek says the Bass Masters Tournament was tremendous, producing 2400 lbs of fish in 3 days with 11 teams.
-Leonard from Robert’s Bait and Tackle says the walleye fishing is hot on Fresno with leaches & crawlers.

-Ron Aashiem says June 2nd is the firm deadline for deer, elk, and antelope B licenses. To get more information go online to www.fwp.mt.gov.
-Ruth Ann North at Tiber Marina says the boat ramp by the marina is clear and open. Folks have been reporting 26 ½ inch walleyes and they have been limiting out.
-Ryan from Bob Wards says in the Bozeman and Butte areas the Upper Madison still has some visibility but the water levels are high so it’s best to fish with streamers, nymphs, and stoneflies. In Helena, Canyon Ferry Lake is producing trout on the North end.
-Sharon from the Silo’s RV says the water levels on Canyon Ferry Lake is 4 – 4 ½ ft up and fishing is excellent. For more info call 406-266-3100.
-Shelby from Rocky Mountain Supply in Dillon says the Beaverhead is fishing well and the Big Hole is not.
-Tammy from Northwest Sports in Eureka says the high run off is effecting the fishing, so the best fishing right now is for pike.
