cffish2Allan Tabish joined the Captain on Canyon Ferry on Thursday. High winds and rain kept them from fishing on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday greeted them to over cast skies but warmer temperatures. There also was hardly any wind all day.
They started the day pulling cranks on Pond One and they were successful catching trout but no walleye. Then about 11am they headed north up by White Earth and bottom bounced with nightcrawlers in 25 feet of water and the walleye bite was on. They ended up with 12 walleyes and fished till 4pm. The water temperature was 57 degrees so it might have to warm up a little more for the bite to begin again on the south end of the lake.
The Captain plans on doing his Saturday morning show live from Canyon Ferry Reservoir with special guest Adam Strainer from FWP.
