BILLINGS — Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will reopen six fishing access sites that were closed by high water in the Yellowstone River last month.

In recent days, spring runoff levels have receded in the Yellowstone River allowing FWP maintenance crews to repair, clean and reopen the entrance roads and sites before the coming weekend.

Fishing access sites that will reopen include Captain Clark east of Pompeys Pillar, Bundy Bridge at Pompeys Pillar, Voyager’s Rest near Worden, Buffalo Mirage near Park City, Indian Fort at Reed Point and Grey Bear west of Big Timber.

The Gritty Stone fishing access site near Worden will remain closed because of deep silt and sediment throughout the area.
