Here is a heartwarming story that shows just how strong a person’s love for the outdoors can be and the lengths that people will go through to help make a person’s dying wish come true.

There is no place in the world that many people would rather be than outdoors, and this proved true for an elderly hospice patient who wanted the opportunity to see his “beloved outdoors” just one last time.  Washington state’s Snohomish County Firefighters responded to a request by Evergreen Hospice to grant a former forest ranger his dying wish.  His wish was granted as the man was wheeled through the forest trails where he “took in the sights, sounds and smells of the Pacific Northwest” for one last time.

People can be pretty amazing.
