Canyon Ferry: The rainbow trout bite has slowed. Shoreline anglers are having some success using worms, Powerbait or while fly fishing with nymphs. Boat anglers are catching a few rainbows on the north end of the reservoir trolling cowbells tipped with worms. Walleye are on the bite and anglers are doing well on the south end of the reservoir trolling shallow depths while using crankbaits (green, silver or perch colored), a worm harnesses or slow death rigs. Yellow perch are being caught from shore at Silos or while searching for walleye. Boat ramps are accessible throughout the reservoir. Adam Strainer, FWP, Helena
Hauser: Rainbows are being caught while trolling cowbells around Black Sandy and Devil’s Elbow. The walleye bite is picking up with some action occurring in the Causeway while using jigs and leeches. A few walleye are being caught in Lake Helena as well; however, overall most walleye are small. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
Holter: Rainbows are being caught on cowbells or perch colored crankbaits from Split Rock to Holter Dam. A few walleye are being caught on bottom bouncers and leeches around Gates of the Mountains. Perch are being caught throughout the reservoir in small bays. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
