It was hot fishing Fort Peck Wednesday with the Captain, Sauger Steve Knudson-Billings, Jim Swanson-Sheridan, and  Chuck Spoon from Lolo.

Walleyes were biting in 20 foot of water and Sauger and the Captain caught a nice smallmouth bass and a northern pike.  The fish were active early in the morning and then in the mid afternoon.

Most of the fish were caught by smiley blades with corkies pulled behind bottom bouncers at 1 mph.

Chartreuse seemed to be the color of choice, but walleyes range between 16 inches and 22 inches there were no large walleyes caught in our group although we heard that there were some 30 inchers caught today.

The day ended up with a absolutely wonderful fish fry put on by Sauger Steve Knutson it was absolutely marvelous we were joined by Joe and Renatta Moline from Lewistown along with Paul Rossignol from Lolo.
