Archery Season September 6, 2014

So we know it is a little ways down the road but better to be prepared than wait until the last minute. Make sure all of your gear is in working order. Practice with your bow, we have some great deals on our stock of Field Logic Targets. Even if you think you have it all come check out the latest and greatest in the hunting department.

Bob Wards hosted Shooters Weekend. Saturday August 2 in Missoula and Sunday August 3rd in Butte

Fishing:

With the big heat up in the weather the agile has started growing rapidly making fishing alot tougher using live bait or anything sitting on the bottom. Dry flies have been picking up dramatically from all sorts of styles including caddis, grey wolfs, hoppers, pale morning duns, twisted golden stones, etc. The wet flies are power worms, prince nymphs, blood leaches, and surprisingly zebra midges. Trolling on the deeper parts of lakes with cowbells has been working very well! The bite seems to be right at first light before the heat starts to pick up and right when the weather starts to drop at night. Look for a hatch of bugs skimming the water at these time and you know it’s prime!
