Wildfiretoday.com reported this morning that “a wildland firefighter working on a fire on the Bitterroot National Forest is missing”.  The firefighter was part of an eight-person crew working out of Darby that was “mopping up the one-acre Weasel Fire, which is about 10 miles east of Hamilton and 40 miles south of Missoula near the border of the Bitterroot and Beaverhead/Deerlodge National Forests, on Sunday afternoon July 27” when the missing report was filed.

Ravalli County Search and Rescue are still continuing their efforts in locating the missing firefighter.  We will post updates as we get them.
