BE CAREFUL! Just because you have a gray cat with black stripes on its tail doesn’t mean that all gray animals with black stripes on their tails are your cat!

An 88 year-old elderly Connectitcut woman learned the hard way just how bad the outcome can be if you find yourself trying to cuddle with the wrong animal. Apparently, after letting her cat inside her home by opening the sliding glass door around 11pm this past Sunday, August 24th, a raccoon followed her cat inside, and she mistakenly thought the raccoon was her cat and began petting it. Unfortunately, the coon attacked her by biting “her elbow, hand, forearm, lip and chin”, according to an article on nbcchicago.com.

Make sure you pay attention to your pets when they come inside to ensure random wildlife aren’t following them in your house.  If you can’t tell the difference between a raccoon and a cat, please get some glasses.
