Ah yes, the elusive morel mushroom.  When we are morel mushroom hunting, we sometimes wonder if there are even any morels out there, as they are not easy to find.  Okay, okay…so, we know they are actually there, but morels sure do have some great camouflage.  Hey–wouldn’t that be awesome to have some morel mushroom camo for yourself while you’re out trying to bag your critters?  Can you imagine blending into the environment you are in as well as a morel?

The owners of Morel Camo, Bill and Tom, are from southern Illinois, and they, collectively, have over 70 years of experience hunting and fishing.  But, their hunting adventures don’t stop with animals. They also enjoy scouring the land for elusive wild sponge morel mushrooms.  As a matter of fact, hunting for morel mushrooms inspired them to take their love for hunting and the outdoors to the next level…

During the last decade, they have used their experience to create a unique and elusive camouflage using the morel pattern. They both learned that with the conventional camouflage on the market today, that improvements should be made in order for today’s hunters to remain in plain sight and yet be almost invisible.

If you’re trying to picture what this pattern would actually look like while you’re in field, take a look at the photos below:

Another cool thing is that this particular Morel Camo gear is reversible with two different blends of colors available for the hunter to choose from–one pattern for open country and the other for wooded terrain.  A morel mushroom camo pattern just makes sense.

What is your favorite camo pattern?
