The Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks are looking for any information leading to the arrest of a poacher in the Havre area.
According to the official press release
HAVRE, Mont. – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Wardens are seeking the public’s assistance in obtaining information regarding a whitetail deer doe that was killed approximately 2 miles north of Kremlin.
The afternoon of September 2, 2014, a red pickup was observed chasing a deer through stubble and standing crop fields. The deer was killed and then drug for nearly 4.5 miles. Upon reaching a series of grain bins the deer was discarded and then left to waste.
If you have any information about this incident please call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668) or contact Warden Andy Matakis at (406) 262-2407. Calls may remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to a $1000.00 TIP-MONT reward. Additionally, a private party has offered a reward of up to $5000.00, if the information leads to a conviction of the responsible party.
