Canyon Ferry:  Rainbow trout continue to be caught mid-reservoir to the Dam cowbells or other attractors, tipped with worms, at depths primarily around 20 feet.  Shoreline anglers are catching rainbows using worms and/or marshmallows, especially at Magpie Bay.  Walleye anglers continue catch fish throughout the south end and mid-reservoir areas using slow-death rigs, worm harnesses or crankbaits.  Vertical jigging for walleye on bay points and shelf transitions is producing some fish throughout the reservoir.  A few yellow perch are being caught throughout the reservoir while searching for walleye.  Adam Strainer, FWP, Helena

Hauser:  Rainbow fishing is very good in the Causeway and around Lakeside while trolling cowbells or dark colored wooly buggers.  Shore anglers are catching rainbows at the Causeway Bridge and Riverside on Powerbait or jigs with a worm.  Many small walleye are being caught at the Causeway Bridge on jigs at night and at Riverside while trolling bottom bouncers tipped with a worm. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Holter:  Rainbow fishing is good throughout the reservoir while trolling cowbells or perch colored crankbaits.  A few rainbows are being caught from shore while using worms or marshmallows.  The walleye and perch bite has slowed down with some walleye being caught off the clay bluffs and perch moving into deeper water.  Perch are being caught in 15 to 25 feet of water around the Oxbow and Split Rock.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena

Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir:  The snagging season for Kokanee Salmon opened on September 1st and will run through October 31st.  Limits are 35 salmon daily with 70 in possession.  Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
