A recent post on Outside Magazine’s website revealed that Montana is home to six of their top 100 best places to work in the USA.  The coolest thing about this is that western Montana’s very own Seeley Lake Elementary School was named the number ONE best place to work in the country…in the entire country!  With 29 employees, Seeley Lake Elementary is not your typical school.  Here is what Outside Magazine had to say about their top choice of American locations for employment:

Like any public school, Seeley Lake Elementary teaches basic academics to kids from pre-K through eighth grade. Unlike most, it practically requires them to get outside with active programs in Nordic skiing, hiking, biking, and canoeing. The school, just an hour from Missoula, is flanked by the peaks of the Rockies and bolstered by a lakeside alternative campus, so it’s not hard for staff to instill a love of the wilderness in their students.

Other Montana workplaces made the list, too!  Flathead Beacon Productions, in Kalispell, made number 58, while Partners Creative in Missoula was listed at number 49.  Foundant Technologies in Bozeman was listed at 35, Ecology Project International, in Missoula, ranked number 24 for the best places to work in the country and MercuryCSC, of Bozeman, was listed at number nine.

Way to go, Montanans who make these locations such awesome places of employment!
