I recently read that wolves leave livestock, cows in particular, with PTSD-like symptoms after an attack on a heard. They can get wildlife so worked up and anxious when they are around, that, sometimes, the prey can inadvertently hurt their own young they were trying so hard to protect.   Although the following footage was recorded in Sweden, it gives you an idea of how vulnerable young calves and fawns are in the wild–even with the protection of their mother…
