Remember your first hunting trip? How about your first goose hunt? I remember the geese winging in over the top of our heads, and I was amazed at how loud the ruffling of their wing feathers was as they beat the air. Then when we popped up to shoot, there were so many geese I hesitated in amazement before finally trying to pick one out to shoot. Last week I got to hang out with 9-year-old Noah Mathiason on his first goose hunt. He reminded me of how much fun a hunt, even on a cold morning, can be when you look at it through fresh eyes.
