Hunting:
Wolf season is still open as are duck and goose, and mountain lion with hounds.

Bring down your trophy pictures or show off a new mount.

Bozeman/Butte Fishing:
Cold temperatures last week brought in ice to several lakes and reservoirs in SW Montana, however, warmer temperatures this week should post caution to fishermen heading to Harrison Lake, Ruby Reservoir, and Clark Canyon this week.

Local fishermen have patiently waited for these lakes to freeze, but this week should prove whether the ice will continue to thicken or thaw to provide open water.

Georgetown has been fishing well for over a month and continues to give up trout and kokanee alike to local sportsmen. Do Rocker jigs, glo hooks tipped with maggots or other vertical jigs continue to entice both trout and kokanee.

Delmoe reservoir has been actively fished by those with atv’s or snow machines. Die hard sportsmen have been into the lake by chaining up their pickup but several people have failed to make it in as well.

The Lower Jefferson and areas of the Big Hole have frozen over due to ice flows, but several areas of the Upper Big Hole are still open to fishing.
