Three-Ingredient, Beer-Basted Rabbit Recipe

There is an area I have hunted that has so many rabbits, it makes me wonder where the coyotes are to manage the population.  My assumption is that the wolves killed off the coyotes off or at least scared them out of the area.  There are so many rabbits there that it does seem overrun by them.  So, thinning out the rabbit population a bit is probably a good idea there.  When I get back up there and bring a few bunnies home, I am going to give this SUPER EASY recipe from allrecipes.com a shot.  Let us know if you have any good rabbit meat recipes, too!

Ingredients

Recipe makes 6 servings

  • 3 pounds rabbit meat
  • 2 tablespoons garlic salt
  • 2 (12 fluid ounces) cans of your favorite beer

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to medium high and lightly oil grate.
  2. Place rabbit meat on heated grill and season with garlic salt. Pour beer into a medium bowl. Let meat cook 15 minutes, then start basting with beer every 10 minutes until done, about 30 minutes.
