The Captain was joined by his son William (pictured above) and friends Devin Huntley and Alex Jehl, from Missoula, on opening day on Lake Mary Ronan. The Kokanee bite was good, as they caught 40 in about 3 hours of fishing. Red and pink Swedish number 4 pimples and red or orange glow hooks tipped with a maggot were the magic that kept the kokanee biting. Add shrimp lotion and it seemed to do the trick in 28 feet of water.
