The Montana Public Land Users and Sportsmen’s Event schedule included a women’s trap setting contest among other time honored activities and games for kids. 
Miss Rodeo Montana had never set a trap before but after instruction from a couple Montana Trappers had the trap setting down well enough to win the women’s event.
Hanna Heckman, this years Miss Rodeo Montana proved she can get down in the dirt and set traps with a first place showing. In the spirit of trapping her award was a wood burned plaque shaped as a muskrat stretcher.
