Fewer classes offer hands on practical experience for free.  Volunteer Hunter Education Instructors are winding down after a long season of education classes around Montana.

Bow hunter Ed classes are held during the first part of the year to allow students ample opportunity to practice before archery season begins.

Students must complete the 12 hour class to participate in early archery seasons or to hunt in archery only units.

Students learn ethics, treestand safety, proper shooting form and blood trailing techniques.

Classes require pre-registration but are offered at no cost to students.
