Josh Carney is a paraplegic, but what he lacks in mobility, he makes up with his incredible voice that allows him to mimic nearly every game animal.  Josh has been an avid hunter all of his life, but loss the use of legs during a turkey hunting expedition with his dad.  When a turkey wandered in between Josh and his father, his father shot not realizing that Josh was right behind the turkey.  The shot hit Josh in the legs and ultimately caused him to lose feeling.  The doctors also thought that Josh would never be able to talk again.  He proved them wrong when he almost immediately began to talk again, but with a different pitch to his voice which ultimately was a blessing in disguise.

Josh first realized that he had a gift for making game calls at a Louisiana sporting show where he made better turkey calls with his own voice than the salesman could with his own turkey call.  One thing led to another and now Josh is on the road constantly while attending seminars, calling contests, sports shows, hunting, co-hosting outdoor shows, and even launching his own show called “Son of the South”.
