Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks reopened all Fishing Access Sites (FASs) in the Alberton Gorge stretch of the Clark Fork River Monday, including Triple Bridges, Ralph’s Takeout and Middle and Lower Osprey. Forks FAS, on the West Fork of Fish Creek was also reopened.

These sites have been closed due to the West Fork Fish Creek Fire. Cyr and Tarkio FASs and the river through the Alberton Gorge reopened to floaters last Friday, but these remaining sites were still closed through the weekend while fire suppression efforts continued.

Floaters should still be prepared for fire helicopters that are intermittently dipping water from the river just below the Fish Creek confluence. Buoys are in place to mark helicopter dip spots, and notification is in place at Cyr FAS.
