Fishing:

Missouri River:  The Mo has been fishing well, especially mornings and evenings.  If you’re looking for some dry fly action try evenings with the baetis coming off. In the evenings try small mayflies behind a Pheasant Tail, San Juan worm, or Rainbow Czech.

Canyon Ferry Lake:  Morning and evening feeding times are continuing to produce shore anglers with marshmallows and worms.  Boat fishing is going well, trolling cowbells with Rapalas or spoons at about 35-40 feet.  Walleye fishing is up and down.

Holter Lake:  Fishing has still been good for Trout.  Trolling about 10-15’ deep with some firetiger spoons or cranks have been the ticket near Split Rock.

Helena Valley Regulating Reservior:  Snagging Kokanee Salmon closing date is October 31.  Daily limit is 35 with 70 in possession.
