Reminder – Survival Rule of Three’s

It’s Getting cold out there and besides adding layers of wool clothing and quality synthetics there are a few other things to consider.

Knowing your abilities and limitations is as important as knowing where the big bulls are bedded. Be prepared in case you face a threatening situation.

Do You Know the “Rule Of 3s”?

The human body can survive for:

3 Minutes without air

3 Hours without shelter

3 Days without water

3 weeks without food

Carry a simple survival kit that includes the following items to cover the RULE OF THREES!

Plastic tarp/space blanket

Signal Mirror

Nylon Cord

Drinking Container

Medication (If Needed)

Water Filter or purification tablets

Plastic Whistle

First Aid Kit

Fire starter

Waterproof matches/lighter

Pocket knife

Extra Clothes (socks, rain gear, warm shirt and pants)

Extra Food and Water

Flashlight and batteries

Large orange colored plastic bag – useful as an emergency shelter, signaling device or rain shelter

Map and compass and the ability to use them.
