Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are looking for anyone with information about the carcasses of two bull elk that were dumped illegally just north of Great Falls.
“The carcasses were discovered Nov. 6,” said Kqyn Kuka, FWP game warden in Great Falls.
The heads and hind quarters were taken but the backstraps and front quarters were left on the Floweree Road between Bootlegger and Darby roads, Kuka said.
It is illegal to waste any edible part of a big game animal, defined as all four quarters, the loins and backstraps.
Anyone with information is urged to call Kuka at (406) 750-3574, or 1-800-TIPMONT. Informants are kept confidential and rewards up to $1,000 are possible.
