Northwestern Montana has long been a home to dozens of animal species. A person could spend a lifetime in the outdoors and never see them all.

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes have created an Animal Field Guide App that lets people can forgo a hefty field guide and navigate the riparian species of the reservation.

It includes cultural notes about the species and a way to report sightings to wildlife officials.

The app can be accessed here: http://csktfwapps.org/
