PETA and More Hypocrisy

For an organization that is against people wearing fur, it sure seems odd that PETA is giving out fur coats to homeless women in major US cities.  Yes, you read that correctly.  PETA is handing out fur coats to homeless women.  According to an article on wgntv.com, PETA says that it is okay to wear fur–if you’re homeless.

The animal rights group handed out more than 100 fur coats Thursday to women staying at the Matthew House homeless shelter on the South Side.

If you’re baffled, then maybe this will help…the coats were donated to them by people who decided to not wear fur anymore.  Does that help?  Yeah, didn’t help me either.  I wonder if they doused the coats with paint PRIOR to giving them out or if that comes later.

If 2016 is starting with PETA supporting the fur industry (even though I’m sure they don’t think they are), I am very interested to see what else we have in store for the year.  I mean, I’ll take it, but what on earth?
