Dead grizzly found near Hungry Horse

Fish Wildlife and Parks investigators are seeking information about what could have caused a grizzly bear death near Hungry Horse Reservoir.

The bear was found on the west side of Hungry Horse Reservoir at Wounded Buck Creek. The grizzly bear was found over the weekend and reported to FWP Wardens. Wardens retrieved the grizzly. The case is under active investigation and no further information can be released at this time.

Officials ask that anyone having information on this case call Brian Lake of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (406-761-2286), or 1-800-TIP-MONT.  A reward is available to anyone reporting information leading to a conviction.
