Downfalls remain on several Flathead Forest trails

Late fall wind storms and subsequent storms have created more blow down of trees on trails than is normally encountered in the spring early summer period. Trail crews are encountering conditions unlike many of them have ever seen. Popular routes may take longer for clearing to be completed. This includes the trails/routes from all trailheads that access the Bob Marshall and Great Bear Wilderness Areas.

When planning a trip using trail systems in the Spotted Bear District, please contact the district at (406) 758-5376 for current conditions.
