Ronan-Pablo Fall Hunters Education Class Announced

The Ronan-Pablo Fall Hunter Education course will begin Wednesday, August 24th, in Room 118 of the Beaverhead Math & Science building on the Salish Kootenai College campus in Pablo.   Interested students are required to register online now at fwp.mt.gov.  A parent or guardian must accompany students under 18 to the first night along with the signed forms from the website.

 

Pickup manuals at the following locations prior to class: Ronan Sports and Western, Westland Seed, Murdochs and Walmart in Polson. The entire manual must be read and chapter quizzes completed before the first class:

 

Only individuals 11 years of age or older at the day of sign-up may be certified upon successfully completing the course.

 

Volunteer instructors will begin instruction for the Hunters Education course on Wednesday, August 24th.  Classes will continue on Thursday, August 25th, and Friday, August 26th.  All classes will begin at 6:30 and end at 9:00 p.m. each evening.   A mandatory field course is scheduled for Sunday, August 28th.  The test review and test will be on Monday, August 29st.

All hunter education classes are free of charge and open to hunters and non-hunters alike.  Some students take the courses for the firearm safety and outdoor survival information, even if they don’t plan to hunt.
