The hunting of all black bears in Bear Management Unit 510, in portions of Bighorn, Carbon and Yellowstone Counties, will close one-half hour after sunset on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
The order halting the hunt came shortly after Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials received word that the pre-established harvest quota for the district has been met.
To check Montana's black bear harvest go to Hunting and choose the Drawing & Quota Status.
