Canyon Ferry: Rainbow trout fishing continues to be good from shore using spoons, spinners, worms, and marshmallows at Confederate Bay, Cave Bay, and the Silos area. Boat anglers are doing well on cowbells or spinners. A few walleye are being caught in 20 to 45 feet of water from Duck Creek to Cemetery Island trolling worm harnesses tipped with night crawlers. An occasional Yellow perch is being caught on the south end of the reservoir from shore using worms. Adam Strainer, FWP, Helena
Hauser: Rainbow fishing has really improved with good catches reported around Black Sandy, Causeway and below Canyon Ferry Dam from both shore and boat. Cowbells are working for the boat trollers while shore anglers are having success with worms, Powerbait, marshmallows and wooly buggers. Walleye and perch fishing are slow with reports of a few small walleye being caught on worms between York Bridge and White Sandy and around the Causeway Bridge. Troy Humphrey, FWP, Helena
Holter: Rainbow fishing is very good throughout the reservoir while trolling cowbells tipped with a worm or most any type of spoon or crankbait. A few rainbows are being caught from shore at Departure Point, Black Beach and Gates of the Mountains on worms.
