Montana FWP needs your help with any information regarding three poachings in Ravalli County.  All were large mule deer bucks that were left to rot.  The first deer was found early in the week of November 6th off of Skalkaho-Rye road.  Game wardens have recovered the antlers as a man had cut them off after finding the buck dead and didn’t realize it had been shot.

The second mule deer buck was found on Saturday off of Brennan Creek Road.  The third mule deer buck was discovered on November 12th in the Skalkaho area near the turnoff to Dam Creek Lake.  It had it’s head and antlers removed leaving the meat to rot.

Wardens are treating all three poachings as separate incidents, but are not ruling out the possibility that they could be tied together.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
