The Elk shoulder season opened Thursday in Hunting District 600. Hunters who put in for the elk shoulder season drawing for tag 699 have a chance to bag an elk by 12/31/16. Six successful hunters-Six Cow elk-Three Pickups on the opening day which was Thursday December 15th.
